David walked into the airport, trembling with excitement. He was going to Brisbane to see his Dad. He clutched at the ticket in his pocket. A person ran over his foot with their luggage but nothing could ruin today.
'Flight 117A is now boarding.'
'Finally,' thought David. He walked over to the check-in desk to board his plane.
Sarah stood by the tax-free shop with her thumbs in her pockets.
'Flight 117A is now boarding.'
'Perfect,' she thought. 'Just in time.'
As she stood there, a boy about her age looked at her strangely. She touched the box in her pocket and smiled. There was no way he could see through her disguise.
As he was about to hand in his ticket, David caught a glimpse of somebody out of the corner of his eye. For a second he thought it was a young brunette but when he looked again it was a grey haired octogenarian. Perturbed, he looked again. It was weird – if he looked out of the corner of his eye she was young but otherwise she was old. He
kept glancing at her until she reached into her pocket and disappeared. So did everything else for that matter. There was a flash of light and a sound so loud it was quiet..
